Embrace the beauty of Fall in Northern Michigan, as you unplug from technology and become mindful of all the beauty that nature has to offer you as inspiration.

A peaceful, two day art retreat where we will relax, connect with nature, and open ourselves to create meaningful art work using mix media materials.

Over the course of this two day retreat we will explore beautiful art supplies like charcoal, graphite, watercolors, acrylics, pastels and oil pastels. Using collage, gesso and acrylic paint, we will create beautifully textured backgrounds in our art journals, make a stand alone piece of abstract art using your favorite supplies and mark making.  Create a beautiful, small field journal that can be tucked into a purse or bag to record all your creative ideas. Gather natural materials and create one of a kind mark making tools that will add unique marks to your art. Look at the colors you love and put together a successful color palette for your work.

Most importantly, we will honor our creativity  with techniques and practices that will take away fear and allow your own unique style to be revealed. By using personal images, words, marks, patterns and textures in your work, your art becomes authentic.

This course is for all levels who are interested in exploring their creativity through art and nature.

All levels are invited to experience this one of a kind art workshop.
